Beyond the Chapter House: Where Milestones Continue

One of the most rewarding parts of being connected to the Gamma Theta alumni community is watching brothers continue to grow, lead, and succeed long after their days on the Palouse.
From the classroom halls of Washington State University to boardrooms, operating rooms, classrooms, startups, and service organizations around the country, Beta men continue to carry forward the values first learned in the chapter house: mutual assistance, intellectual growth, trust, responsible conduct, and integrity.
Every year, brothers reach meaningful career milestones, launching companies, earning promotions, leading organizations, completing advanced degrees, or transitioning into new chapters of life. These moments are worth celebrating not only because of the individual achievements but also because they reflect something larger: the lifelong impact of the Beta experience.
More Than a Job Title
A career milestone isn’t simply a promotion or new title. Often, it represents years of persistence, learning, and relationships built along the way. Many of us can point back to moments during our Beta years that helped shape those paths:
Leading a chapter committee for the first time
Organizing a philanthropy event
Managing a house project
Supporting a brother through a challenge
Or simply learning how to work with people who think differently from us
Those experiences often become the first leadership laboratory for many of us.
The Beta Network at Work
One of the hidden strengths of our alumni community is the willingness of brothers to help one another professionally.
Across our network, we see alumni:
Mentoring younger graduates entering their first jobs
Opening doors through introductions and referrals
Sharing lessons learned from decades in business, medicine, education, technology, and public service
Supporting fellow Betas who are launching new ventures
The fraternity may start in college, but the professional network lasts a lifetime.
A New Season of Leadership
Many Gamma Theta alumni are entering particularly meaningful stages of their careers, taking on executive roles, starting companies, transitioning into advisory positions, or mentoring the next generation of Cougs and Betas. These milestones remind us that success is rarely a solo journey. Behind every accomplishment is a long line of people who offered encouragement, advice, and support along the way. For many of us, that line includes our Beta brothers
Share Your Milestones
We want to celebrate our alumni community's accomplishments. If you’ve recently reached a meaningful career milestone, whether it’s a promotion, business launch, career transition, major project completion, or retirement, we’d love to hear about it.
Your story may inspire a younger brother, reconnect an old friend, or spark the next opportunity within our network.
Because the Beta story doesn’t end at graduation. In many ways, that’s where the real milestones begin. Cougs in the Wild, Where Beta Takes You!
