We all know the job market is tough right now. Whether you’re just starting out or over 50, finding a job isn’t easy. Being a Coug and a Beta can help, but sometimes we need a little more support.

People often say joining a fraternity is like getting an MBA because you build strong connections with your pledge class and older members who are about to start their careers. The Beta House is where we bond on the lawn, at dinner, during chapter meetings, or over late-night poker. But once you become a junior or graduate, things get serious. The world can feel tough. Living at home doesn’t feel cool anymore, and seeing friends post about new jobs on LinkedIn can make you anxious if you don’t have anything lined up.

The good news is that we have over 1,000 alumni working and living all over the world. Each of them knows about 50+ people, so that’s more than 50,000 connections who could help a fellow Beta.

You might get a warm introduction, a chance to shadow someone at work, or an informative call to learn about an industry or job. Maybe you want to work abroad and need advice. Either way, it’s smart to reach out to people who share your values and interests, and that’s all of us.

Here is the FIRST BETA TEST for current students who could use a hand:
