Before We Start...

Hey friends. Jason Hagens here, editor-in-chief of the Gamma Theta Alumni Momentum Series. Think of it as Beta Theta Pi's small-batch, locally sourced zine at WSU. Pour yourself a pour-over (or a cold one, we don’t judge) and settle in, because I’ve got something real to share.

The Vibe

Earlier this year, a few of us started something new: the Gamma Theta Alumni Association. It’s a gathering place for every WSU Beta brother and Friend of Betas (FOB), whether you pledged on a flip phone or a rotary dial. We curate honest news, host events, build educational experiences, fund scholarships, and take on house projects that support the chapter’s academic life.

Let’s be real about the house. She’s a 102-year-old vintage original on Linden Street, an old battleship with plenty of character and creaky floorboards. Character takes upkeep, and good grades don't happen in the chapter room. This new endeavor needs a big lift for a still-new GTAA association as we build Momentum.

The Ask (Keeping It Simple)

We’re launching the GTAA Annual Membership Program. One hundred dollars gets you in. That’s it. No velvet rope and no corporate gala.

Your $100 is a fully deductible gift to the Gamma Theta Alumni Association. We’ll ask once a year, like a seasonal release you actually look forward to. So dust off your loving cup, remember the three stars of Beta Theta Pi, and stay plugged into the house. Your membership helps fund alumni events, scholarships, and awards for the active chapter.

Then take it one step further. Hit up your pledge brothers and get as many as you can on board. Grassroots, word-of-mouth, the old-school way.

Pass It On

Our events are built for the people, not for pricey tickets. Show up, hang out, reconnect. A handful of brothers have already dug deep this year, and we’re grateful. Now we’re building something sustainable that a lot of us can support for the long haul, starting today.

Over the next three months, we’re rolling out our first-ever GTAA membership campaign. Yes, this is new territory for a salty Beta crew, and that’s part of the charm. Help us grow it and make it better.

We’re doing this for our sons, for brothers in need, and for the kind of bond only a sleeping porch can forge. We’re building a community around brotherhood, men of principle, and doing something great for everyone who has lived, drank, studied, and made Beta lore part of their life.

Stay analog. Stay connected.
