Hey Beta's of the 70's....
He walked through the doors of the Gamma Theta chapter house back in 1970 when the world was a different place, Beta was family, and friendships were forged that lasted a lifetime, and the lawn looked the same.
Vince Zimmer is one of ours. And right now, he's fighting one of the hardest battles a man can face.
Vince is battling brain cancer. His wife, Melody, reached out to our alumni family, hoping we could help lift his spirits, and we think we can do exactly that.
We're building a surprise memory book for his 75th birthday on June 18th.
If you were at the Beta house in the early '70s, you probably crossed paths with Vince. Maybe you lived with him. Maybe you pulled an all-nighter, made a bad decision, or laughed until it hurt together. Those are the memories Melody wants to give back to him.
What we're looking for:
Photos from the Beta house, any era, any occasion
A story, a memory, even just a sentence: "Vince, I still think about the time..."
A birthday message straight from the heart
How to submit:
Drop your photos and words to mel.zimmer827@gmail.com or Jhagens@mac.com.
Email them by June 14th, so we have time to build a photobook.
This is a surprise, so keep it in the brotherhood. But don't wait. June 18th is coming fast.
What we have now:
If you knew Vince, this is your moment. If you didn't, this is what Beta Brotherhood looks like in action.
Let's show Melody and Vince what this chapter is made of.
